I have suggestions for new community leaders. They are fair people and I feel
they wouldn't abuse their power like our current leaders do. The people I
recommend are curious liam, jh_radio, philip_bennefall, and others with
usernames I can't spell
liam stepped down, and I doubt he'll be returning as CL any time soon.

This is the most half assed post in a topic as serius as this that I have ever seen. Personally I think that if you want to post some suggestion like this, actually put mor than five minutes into the ost. present facts instead of opinions as to why you think this should happen. Actually get the people you want to run for cl's permission before actually suggesting that they do so. and for god sake stop posting about this stuff just for your own selfish reasons of not liking the cl's. You should post because you want the sight to get better, not because you have a problem with two of the cl's on here based on an argument you had.
First off, I didn't know Philip Bennefall was even a member here.
Second, Liam isn't precisely a regular. He might've been a CL waaaay back, but I've been here since 2009 and I don't recall ever seeing it.
Third, I have never personally seen any issue with the current community leaders. That doesn't mean there aren't any, only that I haven't seen any.

I haven't seen the current team do anything wrong either, although th there are only 3 that are active.

Also...you recommend others with "usernames you can't spell"...what the hell? You expect people to take you seriously when you can't even tell us who you're actually talking about? It could be anyone from Perestroika to Chelslicious to Raskolnikov, depending on your ability to spell, and every one of those three are different. I am not, in case this wasn't clear, actually endorsing any of these three for a CL position; frankly I'm not sure that we even need any more community leaders at present. Mostly the site seems to mind itself.

I agree that the ones who are not active should be replaced. To the original poster, the others are right. If you're going to say something like this, you really should try to make your post well-written. More importantly, you should make sure you have the permission of the people you're suggesting. Not that suggestions like this will make any difference in the grand scheme, but it's rude to publicly suggest people without having spoken to them about it first. Greg, Liam was a CL back in the site's very early days, as in 2004 and 2005, I think. I can't see him even wa nting to come near that again. As for Philip, I think he may have been a member a very long time ago as well, but hasn't been active in years.
yes, I agree in that you should make sure said people want to be a CL before posting their names out in public.
I could care less who runs things around here; the atmosphere on the Zone hasn't changed all that much since I joined years ago, but I agree with everyone here. Your endorsement doesn't cary much weight without a little forethought. But I must say that "...bitch and complain like

Well, this was a waist of board space. Liam was a cl for the first 3 years. the cl team isn't abusing power that I've seen, and there is a place and time, and right now nobody is asking for suggestions for new ones.
Abuse of power? What the hell are you talking about? WE only have three active CL's and one of them is hardly ever visible. The other two that are visible most of the time I believe come on visibly probably just to let people know they are working. But like others have said, the CL's don't have much power and it's the admins who need to have more of a presence on here. I do totally agree with the idea of getting rid of the CL's who campaigned for the job and then promptly disappeared as soon as they got the job.

It would be amazingly awesome if the admins spent more time here and did more with the site. if more happened I might even consider premium again so i could change my name.

I do agree, that the first poster should've been more thoughtful before writing all that down. I also agree with post 11 that language was totally wrong. There are better ways of saying things.
I have to agree with Perestroika. I finally stopped renewing my premium, because the admins do nothing with the site and I saw no point. If they were active again, I might consider premium again. The inactive CL's need to be removed, and props to the ones who ARE active... because it can't be easy in a CL position with no admin support.
this is exactly why I don't do premium. first not enough features, but the biggest reason for me? why support admins that don't support their user base?

I keep buying premium every year simply for the ability to be invisible. That is worth the price for me. But I'm not as picky as a lot of people on here. I love the site most of the time and even wanted to be a CL but never got approved when I applied. Now I try to stay out of the drama and just enjoy myself on here.

Asking for a new Cl or recommending for the Admins to come around more is like walking down the beach in hopes of hooking up with a hot model but only seeing dead jellyfish and broken shells along the seashore. There's a chance it could happen, but most likely it won't when everyone asks.

It's a very rare thing indeed that we actually lock a topic because of its contents. The admin team has set it to auto lock a topic if there have been no posts in a year. This lessens the load on the server, making it run a bit faster and us ccccccccccccccccL's have absolutely nothing to do with it. This is also why qN history doesn't go back more than 60 days... Just for the record, of course.
